Fixed error in CTLFILE2

The installer put wrong values in the CONNECT column in CTLFILE2 when the HOST parameter in the tnsnames.ora file used an IP address instead of a DNS name. Fixed in DIS_distribution.2014-07-24.16.00.45.zip.

Fixed error in DBinstall.cmd

The DBinstall.cmd no longer gives “ERROR: FILE …\ScreenSize.temp.cmd NOT FOUND” when DBconfigure_javapath.cmd contains spaces in the path to the JRE directory.

Simpler updating of CTLFILE6

A new command DBcontrol_CTLFILE6.update.cmd lets you update CTLFILE6 without requiring a password. The documents and installation video have been updated to reflect this change.

Licenses and Release pages added

For convenience the license agreements are now all on one page. A Release page shows the release history for the dashboard itself. Small changes to the documents and installation scripts are not given new release numbers.

Installation videos added

The installation part1 video shows you how to install the DBcafé dashboard and add your databases. The installation part2 video shows you how to put the content in the Compare, Tablespaces and Users panels.

Removed DIS32 download

The DIS32 download has been removed as it is no longer needed. The standard DIS distribution now installs on all versions of Windows including older 32-bit versions. This release also fixes the 404 error which occurred when displaying the EULA.

Documents updated and uninstall guide added

This distribution contains changes to the documents only.

Documents tab added

For convenience the installation documents are now available online. Previously they were only available on disk after unpacking the software.

DBcafé 3.2 with accessibility

The DBcafé dashboard now includes speech to help visually impaired users. Right-click on the L&F button to see the voices available on your platform. The Microsoft voices on Windows 8 give the best results.

DBcafé 3.0 for Oracle 12c now available

The DBcafé dashboard has being updated for Oracle 12c. It shows you all your databases on one screen including CDBs and PDBs.
